Carroll Landon Wofford witnessed Carroll is now a member of the seventh grade in Pauline School.(1935) He is a very intelligent boy and leads his class nearly every year. He seems to have a decided talent for music. Bomar is a hardworking famrer of the Friendship community.1 He was born on 12 January 1921 at Pauline, South Carolina. He married Regina Beth Black on 27 June 1946. Carroll Landon Wofford died on 26 September 2009 at Cherryville, North Carolina, at age 88.2

He was born in Pauline, SC, a son of the late Bomar James and Julia Hembree Wofford. Mr. Wofford was a former school teacher and principal, having taught at Kannapolis, Cowpens, SC, and Tryon High School and former owner of the Farm and Home Supply Co. of Cherryville. He was also a longtime member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where he was Sunday School Superintendent for many years, former Deacon and member of the Young at Heart group.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Harold Wofford.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Regina Black Wofford, son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Patricia Wofford of Newton, NC; and a granddaughter, Landis Wofford of Linville, NC.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Shady Grove Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tim Robbins officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday in the Family Life Center of the church from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM.
