    ROCK HILL, SC-- Russell Steven Jones, 55, of Rock Hill, SC, died Thursday, September 1, 2011.
    Born February 29, 1956, in Boston, MA, he was the husband of Mary Anne McBride Jones. Mr. Jones is also survived by his two sons, Nathan Cody Jones of Palo Alto, CA, and Jason Patrick Jones of the home. He was the son of Peggy Sharpe Jones of Spartanburg, SC, and Otis Clifton Jones, Jr., of Edisto Beach, SC.
    A 1974 graduate of Spartanburg (SC) High School, he graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering. He pursued advanced academic degrees by earning a Master of Science degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Virginia and a master of business administration degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
    Mr. Jones was Vice President of Renshaw-Heilman and Associates, Inc. in Columbia, SC, until he joined Premier Healthcare Systems in Charlotte, NC. In 2008, Mr. Jones formed his own consulting firm designing equipment for hospital operating rooms with global clientele. He was a member of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, the American Society for Hospital Engineering, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Mr. Jones enjoyed outdoor activities such as snow skiing and deep sea fishing, and passed his love of these activities to his sons. Mr. Jones also loved dogs, and leaves behind his beloved Labrador Retriever, Chester.
    Survivors also include a brother, Jeff Jones of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Cynthia Jones Pitts of Clinton, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    A private memorial service will be held by the family at a future date.

     Henry Jefferson Locke was born on 10 December 1862 at SC. He was Henry Jefferson remained on the farm that had been passed down from his grandfather, Benjamin, and had a large family. He married Margaret Annie Simpson in 1884, and had five sons and five daughters. According to Gerald Thomas (Jerry) Locke, the son of John Franklin, the large farm was to be divided among four of the brothers, but it wasn’t large enough to support four families. Most of the brothers moved to the Greenville Spartanburg area of South Carolina. John Franklin stayed on the farm and raised his family in Chester County. Today, Jerry still lives on the same land with his lovely wife, Carolyn, and shares it with members of their family. Although they no longer farm the land, just keeping ahead of the vegetation with a “Bushhog” can be a full time job. It’s nice to know that a large piece of the Locke ancestral land is still in the family! In 1884. He married Margaret Annie Simpson, daughter of Greene Stone Simpson and Eliza Jane Cherry, on 13 February 1884. Henry Jefferson Locke died on 17 December 1937 at Hollis, SC, at age 75.
