     Nancy (?) married Isaac Wofford, son of James W. Wofford and "Selah" Celia Bennett.

     Her married name was Wofford. Matilda West married William M. H. Wofford, son of Isaac Wofford and Nancy (?). Matilda West was born on 11 February 1817. She died on 3 August 1873 at Gowensville, South Carolina, at age 56.

     Isaac Francis Wofford began military service. He married Rebecca Permilla Peeller. Isaac Francis Wofford was born on 8 November 1844 at Wilkinsville TWP, South Carolina. He died on 31 October 1926 at Abington Creek Baptist Church, SC, at age 81.

     Her married name was Wofford. Rebecca Permilla Peeller married Isaac Francis Wofford, son of William M. H. Wofford and Matilda West. Rebecca Permilla Peeller was born on 8 September 1869. She died on 7 January 1934 at Wilkinsville, South Carolina, at age 64.

     William Smith Wofford married Hattie Leila Peeler. William Smith Wofford was born on 16 June 1871. He died on 19 October 1948 at South Carolina at age 77.

     Her married name was Wofford. Hattie Leila Peeler married William Smith Wofford, son of Isaac Francis Wofford and Rebecca Permilla Peeller. Hattie Leila Peeler was born on 20 December 1890. She died after 29 October 1926 at Cherokee, SC.

     Herbert Smith Wofford was born on 30 September 1923. He died on 7 October 1996 at age 73.

     Etheleen Wofford died on 29 October 1926. She was born on 29 October 1926.

     Her married name was Locke. Margaret Annie Simpson was born on 19 April 1867. She died on 24 February 1937 at age 69.

     Her married name was McFadden. Estelle Hodges Black was born on 22 October 1914. She married William Samuel McFadden Jr., son of William Samuel McFadden Sr. and Annie Belle Locke, on 16 January 1965. Estelle Hodges Black died on 14 January 1976 at age 61.

     Marvin Ernest Stutts was born on 17 May 1945. He died on 27 July 1988 at age 43.

     James Peeler Byrd was born on 27 January 1905. He died on 15 December 1978 at age 73.

     Her married name was Locke. Nancy Hines was born in 1785. She witnessed Nancy married Stephen Locke and moved with her father Thomas to Chester County, SC in 1800 in 1800. She married Stephen Locke, son of William Locke, in 1801 at Chester, SC. Nancy Hines died in February 1847.

     James Hulse Locke witnessed Could James' nickname been Phillip??? Refer to notes from Kate L by Don Williams. He had 3 children:

John Locke Sr b.1722 d. 1790/99 m who married (1) Saah, (2) Elizabeth

Phillip Locke b.b1730.¹ He James and Susanna Locke moved to Halifax County North Carolina on the Virginia border in 1760.

William Locke was a brother of James Hulse Locke, who we have always assumed was the father of James and John. We know from estate records that William and James Hulse were left equal parts of a tract of land called “Good Pennyworth” by father Philip. After 1722, when Philip’s will was proven, we have only two references about the physical evidence of the life of James Hulse Locke. Oral history indicated that James moved to Halifax with his two sons, and died there. Two entries in separate volumes of the Maryland Genealogical Society Bulletin might support this belief.^2,3 He was born in 1696 at Maryland. He married Susanna Stephens, daughter of Benjamin Stevens and Lettice (?), before 1717 at Maryland.¹ James Hulse Locke left a will on 26 September 1753; Liber 29, folio 15.

     Philemon Shurley married Lucreton Walston, daughter of Elias Watson and Synthia Walston. Philemon Shurley was born in 1790. He died in September 1854.

     Lucreton Walston married Philemon Shurley, son of Thaddeus Shirley and Elizabeth Clawson ?. Her married name was Shurley.

     Thaddeus Shirley Revolutionary patriot .....He was possibly from the Dutch Fork area and may have died in 1842. He married Elizabeth Clawson ? Thaddeus Shirley was born on 16 August 1791 at Possibly, Virginia. He died on 29 November 1840 at His home, Nations Ford, York Co., at age 49.

     Elizabeth Clawson ? married Thaddeus Shirley. Her married name was Shirley. Elizabeth Clawson ? was born in 1761. She died in 1846.
